Roscoe Rothrock

Mr. Roscoe Thomas Rothrock, 72, of Lewisville, NC, passed away on Friday, February 9, 2018, at Forsyth Medical Center. Mr. Rothrock was born in Forsyth County on February 22, 1945, to the late Carl Franklin Rothrock and Violet Poindexter Rothrock. Roscoe was an avid hunter and owned his own concrete construction company. He was contracted with R.J. Reynolds Tobacco Company on numerous jobs which took him all over the world, including Russia and Bermuda. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Michael Rothrock and Rendall Rothrock. He is survived by his daughter, Tracie Rothrock Christian (Jeff) of Pittsboro, NC; one son, Eric Rothrock (Heather) of Huntersville, NC; seven grandchildren, Alexandra Christian, Julia Christian, Luke Christian, Carl Rothrock, Chase Rothrock, Caroline Rothrock, and Catherine Rothrock; one sister, Ann Weisner (Don) of Lewisville, NC; one half-sister, Carol Lewis (Gerald) of Winston-Salem; one aunt, Doris Holder of Lewisville, NC; two uncles, Charles Rothrock of Advance, NC and Bob Poindexter of Clemmons, NC; one great-aunt, Beulah Zimmerman of Winston-Salem; two nephews, Shea Hester of Charleston, SC and Michael Rod Rothrock of San Francisco, CA; one niece, Amber Hester of Tampa, Florida and several cousins. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm on Sunday, February 11, 2018, at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel with Mr. James Percival and Mr. Randy McKnight officiating. Interment will follow at Boyer's Chapel Church of Christ Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made to Forsyth Humane Society, 4881 Country Club Rd., Winston-Salem, NC 27104.
