Mrs. Rosalie Swaim Cook, 84, of Winston-Salem passed away Tuesday, July 13, 2010 at Universal Health Care. She was born May 27, 1926 to Isom Beecher Swaim, Sr. and Lola Wooten Swaim. Mrs. Cook was a longtime member of Maple Springs United Methodist Church. She was a graduate of Old Town School. Her first love was family then shopping. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Jasper Lee Cook and a brother, I.B. Swaim, Jr. Surviving is a daughter, Pamela Cook; a grandson, Matthew Dirk Willard; and three great grandsons, Tristan Dylan Willard, Trevor Dalton Willard, and Jackson Dirk Willard. A Memorial Service will be held at 1:00 PM Friday at Maple Springs United Methodist Church with Dr. Terry Matthews officiating. The family will receive friends following the service. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Association, 1315 Ashleybrook Lane, Winston-Salem, NC 27103 or Maple Springs United Methodist Church, 2569 Reynolda Road, Winston-Salem, NC 27106.
