Rosa McCann Myers

Mrs. Rosa McCann Myers, 91, a resident of Brookridg Retirement Community, died Thursday, September 5, 2008 at Wake Forest University Baptist Medical Center. She was born March 12, 1917 in New Bedford, Mass, the daughter of the late, John and Mary Riding McCann. Mrs. Myers spent her entire life in Mass. where she retired from New England Telephone following 42 years of service. She served with the U. S. Army during World War II. She moved to Winston-Salem in 2002 and was a member of St. Leo the Great Catholic Church. A Mass of Christian Burial will be said Saturday, September 13, 2008 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Leo the Great Catholic Church. Inurnment will follow in the church columbarium. The family will greet friends following the service at the church. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to St. Leo the Great Catholic Church, 335 Springdale Ave., Winston-Salem, NC 27104.
