Ronnie Gray Knight, 81, passed away at his home on November 24, 2021. Ronnie was born on December 19, 1939, to Claude Lee Knight and Laura “Edna” Grubbs Knight in Forsyth County. He served in the US Air Force, including a tour in Vietnam. He was a member at Peace Haven Baptist Church in Yadkinville, attending for as long as his health permitted. Ronnie retired from R.J. Reynolds Tobacco Company with 30 years of dedicated service. Later, he worked several years at Country Club Texaco. He loved fishing, classic cars and listening to gospel music. He will be remembered for his kind heart and outgoing personality. More than anything, he loved his family and grandkids. In addition to his parents, Ronnie was preceded in death by son, Ronnie Lee Knight; and sister-in-law, Juanita Knight. Surviving are his loving wife of 56 years, Geraline Pettit Knight; son, Robert Knight; daughter, Pam Knight Rumburg (David); grandchildren, Jackson Rumburg and Victoria “Tori” Rumburg; brother, Ray Knight; nephew, Johnny Knight (Patrice); and niece, Janice Fulk (Mike). A funeral service will be held at 12:00 PM, Monday, November 29, 2021, at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel with Brother George Evans officiating. Interment will follow at Deep Creek Baptist Church cemetery with Rev. Jonathan Bowman officiating at the graveside committal. The family will receive friends on Sunday evening from 4:00-6:00 PM, at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the charity of the donor’s choice.
