Ronnie Eugene Kluttz

KERNERSVILLE - Mr. Ronnie Eugene Kluttz, 67, passed away Friday, November 7, 2014 at Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home. Ronnie was born on November 2, 1947 in Rowan County to the late Jesse Trantham and Bertha Basinger Kluttz.

Ronnie was a veteran of the US Army and retired from the US Postal Service. He loved the game of golf and enjoyed vacations at the beach. He has been an active member of Sedge Garden United Methodist Church for many years, where he was especially devoted to the Children's Ministry and the Youth Program. Ronnie had a kindred and loving spirit that he shared with everyone he met and was a true example of a man of strong faith. Ronnie considered his children and grandchildren to be his best accomplishments.

Surviving are his wife of 40 years, Nancy Kluttz of the home; a son, Justin Kluttz (wife, Jill) of Greensboro; a daughter, Krystal Swicegood (husband, Trey) of Clemmons; one granddaughter, Harper Ann Kluttz; a new grandson expected in December; two brothers, Larry Drye (Judy) and JT Kluttz (Debbie); one sister, Vicky Jordan (Mike) all of Salisbury; and many extended family members and friends.

A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Monday, November 10, 2014 at Sedge Garden United Methodist Church with Rev. Dave Cash and Karen Smith officiating. Burial will follow at Eastlawn Gardens of Memory. The family will receive friends from 4:00 - 6:00 p.m. Sunday, November 9, Hayworth-Miller Kernersville Chapel.
