Ronnie Burnette

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Ronnie" Bernie "Burnette, a devoted father, Papa, and loving husband. He carried with him a deep and lasting love for his beloved wife of 55 years, Iva Burnette, who preceded him in death on March 31, 2024. He missed her every day, and she was his rock, but we find peace in knowing they are now together once again.

His greatest joy in life was his family. He cherished every moment spent with his grandchildren, "them babies". Their laughter made him smile, laugh and cry at every family gathering, and he was so proud of everything they did, he was their biggest fan! He was a constant source of support, wisdom, and unconditional love, leaving behind so many wonderful memories.

Ronnie loved fishing, golf and hunting. Dad had a gentle nature, a great sense of humor and never met a person he wouldn't help or didn't like. Dad will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

He is survived by his two sons, David Burnette (Elizabeth) and Brian Burnette (Annette); and four grandchildren, Dustin Burnette, Dawson Burnette, Kailey Burnette, and Adyson Burnette.

Dad, we miss you, we love you, and please hug and give Mom a kiss from all of us.

A funeral service will be conducted 11am Monday, March 31, 2025, at Hayworth-Miller Rural Hall Chapel with Pastor Tim Gammons officiating. The family will receive friends an hour prior to the service at the funeral home. A private interment be held at a later date.
