Ronald “Ronnie” Wayne Williams, 77, passed away on Wednesday, February 2, 2022 at his home. Ronnie was born on November 21, 1944 in Rowan County to the late James Gilbert Williams and Julie Page Williams. He served his country in the United States Army. Ronnie was co-owner of J&W Motors and retired from Roadway Express after 36 years, where he was employed as a relay coordinator. Ronnie was a member of the Winston-Salem Loyal Order of Moose, Lodge 466. Ronnie enjoyed following NASCAR and was also an old car enthusiast, spending his free time restoring many vintage cars. In addition to his parents, Ronnie was preceded in death by his brother, Kevin “K.D.” Williams; and stepson, Timothy Pinnix. Surviving family includes his loving wife, Diane D. Williams; sons, Thomas Williams (Crystal) of Salisbury and Jason Williams (Marianne) of Zebulon; stepson, John Blakley (Tina) of East Bend; brother, Paul Williams (Connie) of Salisbury; sister, Karen Gryder (Bob) of Salisbury; brother-in-law, Dennis Sifford of Salisbury; seven grandchildren; five step-grandchildren; five step great-grandchildren; friend, Charles McGee; and several nieces and nephews. A visitation will be held on Sunday, February 6, 2022 from 2:00 PM – 4:00 PM at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel. A graveside service will be held the following week on Wednesday, February 16, 2022 at 2:00 PM at Salisbury National Cemetery in Salisbury, NC.
