Ronald "Ron" Hartzler

Ronald “Ron” Leif Hartzler, age 71, of Winston-Salem, NC passed away on February 5, 2022.  He was born on March 12, 1950 in Seattle, WA to the late Wilton Emerson Hartzler and Rosemary Krogh Hartzler.  Ron was born in the Pacific Northwest where he spent his earliest years.  Most of his childhood was in High Point North Carolina.  As a young person he loved summertime family camping trips and traveling to visit cousins in Ohio.  He was happy go lucky, optimistic, he loved to laugh, and loved to play golf.  No matter his circumstances, he was always a hard worker.  In his later years, he spent twelve years serving as a success story for the training program of Goodwill Industries of Northwest North Carolina.  The brightest spot in his life was his daughter and his devotion to and love for her was unconditional.  He is survived by his mother, his daughter Samantha Hartzler, her husband Wayne Nowak, granddaughter Shayla Mayberry, and sisters Holly Hartzler Jones (Steve) and Mary Lou Hartzler (Maura).  Services will occur at a later date.  Memorials may be directed to Goodwill Industries of Northwest North Carolina, give.goodwill.org. Online condolences may be made at www.hayworth-miller.com
