Ronald William Whitt

Ronald William Whitt, 79, returned to his heavenly home on August 16, 2016. His devotion to family and belief in God supported him in his struggle and ultimately gave him peace. He was born on Feb 2, 1937 to the late Leo and Mattie Whitt. He married Carol Jean Davis in 1957, and was a devoted husband for 60 years. Ronnie was an active member of South Fork Church of Christ. His family could always depend on him to be a protector, caregiver, and provider. He inspired his children to be responsible individuals and to strive to do good in this world. He dearly loved each of his grandchildren and shared his faith in Christ with them. He will be dearly missed by his loved ones. They now celebrate he is at peace with his Creator. He is survived by his wife, Jean; daughters Laura Rosenbaum and Suzanne Brant; seven grandchildren; and two brothers, Harold and Jerry Whitt. A memorial service will be held at South Fork Church of Christ on Wednesday, August 24th, at 11:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to The Children's Center of Winston-Salem.
