Mr. Ronald “Ron” Gene Robertson, 74, of Winston-Salem, passed away on Monday, July 10, 2023, at the Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home. Ron was born in Robeson County, NC on July 24, 1948, to the late M.L. and Judy Robertson. He spent most of his early years living in White Lake, NC. Ron entered the golf business as a teaching professional in the early 1970’s before transitioning to a career in the restaurant business that would span two decades. Ron moved his family from Elizabethtown, NC to Charlotte, NC in 1982. In the mid 1990’s Ron decided to change careers again, joining the automobile industry and worked in car sales. He moved to Winston-Salem in 2005 and was a car salesman at the local Ford Dealership. Ron was an avid golfer, loved the NC Tarheels and Carolina Panthers. In addition to his parents, Ron was preceded in death by his brother, Jeff Robertson and a granddaughter, Caroline Jackson. He is survived by his children, Ryan Robertson and wife, Ally, Joel Robertson and wife, Lesa, and Tanner Jackson and husband, Michael; grandchildren, Michaela Hanrahan, Kathryn Jackson, Banks Jackson, and Bennett Jackson; brother, Glenn Robertson and wife, Keri; sister-in-law, Ruth Robertson; the mother of his children, Kathy Robertson; and special friend, Judi Chandler. A celebration of life service will be held at 2:00 pm on Friday, July 21, 2023, at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel with Rev. Doug Klein and Mr. Glenn Robertson officiating. The family will receive friends following the service at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorial donations be made to First Tee-Central Carolina, PO Box 236, Clemmons, NC 27012.
