Ronald E. Harper, 75, of Clemmons, passed away suddenly on June 18, 2023. He was born on July 4, 1947, to Betty and James Harper, and throughout his life, Ron was a firecracker, bringing laughter and joy to all who knew him with his extra corny jokes. He had a large heart that overflowed with genuine care for others. Ron retired from RJR in 2005 after dedicating over 30 years of service. Ron was preceded in death by his parents, his beloved son Chad Brandon Harper, and his brother James Larry Harper. He is survived by his loving children, son Kyle P. Harper, daughter-in-law Sara Harper, daughter Kym Harper Styers, son-in-law Gary Styers II, and three adored grandchildren who inherited both his loving heart and his hilarious sense of humor: Kaylee Brynn Styers, Avery Belmont Harper, and Eli Patrick Harper. He is also survived by his sister Lynn Harper Long, brother Gray Harper, numerous nieces, nephews, and a wide circle of friends. A visitation will be held on Thursday, June 22, 2023, from 6-8 pm at Hayworth Miller Lewisville, where family and friends can come together to honor and celebrate Ron's life. The family would like to thank Clemmons Fire Department, and Forsyth County EMS for the care and compassion they showed Ron and his family.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Clemmons Fire Department Cadet Program 5931 James Street Clemmons, NC 27012 or Thalian Association Community Theater P.O. Box 1111 Wilmington, NC 28402. Both organizations he was proud his grandchildren are involved in. May the memories of Ron's laughter, kindness, and warm-hearted spirit bring comfort to all those whose lives he touched.
