Ronald Eugene Davis

Mr. Ronald Eugene Davis, 70, of Winston-Salem, passed away Tuesday, June 26, 2012 at his home. He was born October 26, 1941 in Forsyth County to Alex Eugene and Bessie Irene Pope Davis who preceded him in death. Mr. Davis was a member of Hanes Baptist Church, and was retired from Davis Garage where he had worked since he was 14 years old. He was a member of the Flight Club and loved to fish. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army having served in Korea during the Vietnam War. His special pets were Jenny, Cheyenne and Mickey. Surviving are his wife, Nancy Sealey Davis; and three brothers, Harvey Lee Davis (Bonnie), Jerry Dane Davis (Joan), all of Winston-Salem, and John Hampton Davis (Donna) of Advance. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, June 29 at Hanes Baptist Church with the Rev. Ron Cockerham and the Rev. Larry Walker officiating. Burial will follow in Parklawn Memorial Park with military rites by the VFW Memorial Honor Guard. The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Thursday at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel.
