Ronald Malcolm Craver

Ronald 'Ronnie' Craver, 59, of Winston-Salem, passed in peace Friday, March 8, 2013. He was born April 27, 1953 to Carol Mickey and Lois Hartman Craver. A loving and devoted father, son, brother and friend, Ronnie will be fondly remembered as a very special soul. He touched the hearts and lives of so many people. Ronnie loved life and lived to learn. Always in good spirits, he was a source of strength for many. He was hardworking, humble, and full of compassion, charm and wisdom. A simple man built on traditional values. Ronnie enjoyed the simple things in life, but a sense of adventure was always close to his heart. Ronnie lived each day as if it was his last. To know him was to love him. He was preceded in death by his parents; his son, Jason Thomas Craver; uncle Byron Craver; and nephew Russell Craver. Ronnie is survived by his daughter, Jennifer Craver of Charlotte; brothers Mickey(Jane), and Randy(Sharon) Craver; former wife, Shirley Brewer; mother-in-law, Mary Ann Long; sister-in-law, Kathy Mayberry of Sanford; and also several loving extended family members. A memorial service will be held at 1:00 pm, Wednesday, March 13 at Bethel United Methodist Church with Rev. Dana Wooten officiating. The family will receive friends at the church following the service. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Ronald Craver Memorial Fund, 9715 Bonita Lane, Apt 111, Charlotte, NC 28262.
