Ronald Ron Brewington

Brewington God lifted his hands and brought Ronald ""Ron"" Brewington home Sunday August 30, 2009. He was born in Lumberton, NC to Woodrow and Margaret Bell Brewington on January 1, 1943. Mr. Brewington served as a Baltimore City Police Officer and for the last 14 1/2 years he has dedicated his life sponsoring and helping AA members. He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother, Harlis Brewington, and a grandson, Nathan Locklear. He is survived by his loving wife of 40 years, Karen, two daughters; Regina Brewington Wall, Rhonda Hindle (Mack); a son Wayne (Marie); grandchildren; Ledie, Josh, and Davey; great grandchildren; Cayden and Aubrey; brothers Clay Brewington, Esu Brewington (Jean), Alfred Brewington (Patti); and Billy Brewington; sisters Debra Locklear (Larry), Jackie Brewington, Marvie Cauffman (Dan) and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, close family and friends. A funeral service will be conducted 11:00 am Thursday, September 3, 2009 at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel with the Minister Terry Smola officiating. Burial will follow at Parklawn Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 pm Wednesday at the funeral home. The family would like to send a special thank you to all of the staff at the Kate B.
