Winston-SalemMr. Ronald Lee Boger, 71, passed away Monday, January 2, 2012 at Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home. He was born May 27, 1940 in Forsyth County to the late Shelby Love and Pansy Langley Boger. Mr. Boger graduated from Northwest High School, N.C. State University, received his MBA from UNC Chapel Hill and did further post graduate work at Virginia Tech University. After college, he was commissioned a 2nd Lt and served with the Army Security Agency in Germany. Mr. Boger worked for IBM, received his CPA License and worked for A.M. Pullen. Entering academia in 1980, he was a professor at Winston-Salem State University, Auburn University at Montgomery, and Troy University retiring in 2005. After retiring, he returned to Winston-Salem. Mr. Boger was very active in the Church of Christ, a founding Elder and long time member of the Brewer Road Church of Christ and served on the Board of Directors of AGAPE of North Carolina. Preceding him in death was his loving wife, Lynda Robinson Boger. Surviving are three children, Pamela Boger Cranford (Brandon), Brian Lee Boger, and Kent Patrick Boger; two grandchildren, Shelby Elizabeth Cranford and Cody Chase Lawry; also surviving are a brother, Gene Shelby Boger (Gail) and a sister, Robin Boger Kaminski. A memorial service will be held 1:00 PM Saturday, January 7, 2012 at South Fork Church of Christ with Dr. Phil Stapp officiating. The family will receive friends before the service.
