Romulus Harlow Fowler

Mr. Romulus Harlow Fowler passed away late Saturday morning, May 28, 2016 at Trinity Elms. Romulus was born in Surry County on September 13, 1929 to the late Alexander Fowler and Hattie White Fowler. He was a member of Calvary Baptist Church since 1965 and was a Sunday School Leader. Romulus served in the United States Army during the Korean Conflict and retired from Bahnson Company with 47 years of service. He was an avid bowler and ""grew the best tomatoes in Winston-Salem"". Romulus is survived by his wife Barbara Hefner Fowler; two daughters Debra Herrin (Ron) of Clemmons, and Paula Chrysson (Jeff) of Pfafftown; four brothers Beauford Fowler (Mabel), James Fowler of Dobson, NC, Odell Fowler (Carolyn) of Dobson, NC, and Delano Fowler (Annette) of Dobson, NC; a sister Annie Lou Rosendahl (Fred) of Raleigh, NC; three grandchildren Angela Goff (Robbie), Chris Herrin, and Sydney Chrysson; and two great grandchildren Tanner and Logan Goff. A graveside service will be held at 2:30 PM Monday, May 30, 2016 at Forsyth Memorial Park, with Rev. Gary Byrum officiating. The family will receive friends from 12:30-2:00 Monday, at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel. Online condolences can be made at www.hayworth-miller.com.
