Roland John Conner, Jr.

KERNERSVILLE- Mr. Roland John Conner, Jr., 82, died Monday, March 28, 2016 at Piney Grove Nursing and Rehab. Roland was born on September 4, 1933 in Dover, DE to Roland and Elizabeth Conner. Roland was a member of Sedge Garden United Methodist Church and a dedicated employee of the US Postal Service for over 20 years. Following retirement, he devoted his time volunteering at Forsyth Medical Center in the Mailroom. In his early adult years, Ron worked side-by-side with his father at Conner's Appliance Store in Dover, DE. He also served in the US Army from 1953-1955.

In addition to his parents, Roland was preceded in death by his wife, Joyce Ross Conner.

Surviving are his daughter, Vicki Conner; a sister, Arlene ""Sis"" Cano of Dover, DE; and two nephews, Tim and Chris.

A private family inurnment will be held at Sedge Garden United Methodist Church. Hayworth-Miller Kernersville Chapel is assisting the family.
