Roger Pruitt

GERMANTON, NC-Mr. Roger Pruitt, 71, of Germanton, NC, passed away on Friday, May 3, 2013 at Wake Forest Baptist Health Center. Mr. Pruitt was born on October 3, 1941 in Wilkes County, NC to Charlie Pruitt and Pansy Richardson Pruitt. After graduating from the NC State Trucking School, Mr. Pruitt drove a truck for 42 years before retiring from Unifi. Preceding Mr. Pruitt in death were his parents. He is survived by his wife, Brenda Pruitt of the home; one daughter, Paige Birchfield (Rob) of King, NC; one son, Josh Pruitt (Rebecca) of King, NC; four grandchildren, Carson Birchfield, Lane Birchfield, Cayman Pruitt and Emery Pruitt; and one sister, Peggy Holloway (Bryan) of Traphill, NC. A private graveside service will be held at Germanton Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. Jeff Stephens officiating. The family will receive friends from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM on Wednesday, May 8, 2013 in the fellowship hall at Germanton Baptist Church.
