Roger Herzog

Oak Ridge – Mr. Roger Herzog, 51, passed away February 21, 2022, at Wesley Long Memorial Hospital. He was born April 17, 1970, in Switzerland to Max and Gerty Gurzeler Herzog. Roger believed in lifelong education. Anything he did, he did it with enthusiasm. He was an Avid outdoorsman, who loved camping, hiking, biking, the Swiss Alps, and anything outside. He would focus on his passion at the time and pursue it to its fullest. Roger loved so many things, but most of all his family and Lord. Surviving are his loving wife, Sarah Humphrey Herzog, his son, Ethan Herzog, mother, Gerty Gurzeler, mother and father in law, Richard and Sandy Humphrey, sister, Jacqueline Selebam, and one niece, Noemi Selebam. A memorial service will be held 11:00 AM Saturday, February 26, 2022, at First Christian Church in Kernersville with Dr. Pete Kunkle and Roy Jones, Jr. officiating. Memorials may be made to the Christian Broadcasting Network, Operation Blessing at 977 Centerville Turnpike Virginia Beach, VA 23463 (www.ob.org) Hayworth-Miller Kernersville Chapel is assisting the Herzog family.
