Roger Wendell Frost May 11, 1938 - Aug. 22, 2015, 77 , proud ""PaPa"", loving husband, devoted father and family patriarch passed away Saturday, Aug. 22, 2015 at Forsyth Medical Center. Roger was born May 11, 1938 in Flushing, NY to Oakley Frost and Ella Marie Fischer Frost. He graduated with the class of 56 from Greensboro Senior High School and then attended NC State and Guilford College, graduating from the later. Roger proudly served his country in the National Guard then entered a career in banking with Wachovia Bank and then Wachovia Services which became Anacomp. Seeking an entrepreneurial challenge, he and a partner acquired Triangle Body Works in Winston-Salem and later added Miller Truck Equipment in Durham, NC. Eventually selling his businesses and moving on to his next big challenge, building his dream ""place at the lake"" in which he has graciously hosted friends and family for many years, all while seated at the choice spot at the end of the counter where he was able to oversee and direct all activities and cooking. Roger was preceded in death by both his parents as well as a brother, Miles Fischer Frost, and special Uncle Willard Fischer and wife Adelaide ""Aunt Heidi"". Surviving is his devoted wife of 56 years, Patricia Upchurch Frost; a daughter, Ellen Frost Mulheron and husband Scot and children Elyssa and Corbin of Winston-Salem; two brothers, Oakley Frost and wife Linda of Laguna Beach, CA, Ellis Frost and wife Jean of Marietta, GA; sisters-in-law, Anne Frost of Jamestown, NC and Carla Odette of Winston-Salem; brothers-in-law, Tony Upchurch, wife Marilyn and children; Ray Freeman, wife Marie; and special niece Brittany Odette who lovingly provided skilled care and assistance. Other nieces and nephews including Kevin Frost (Karen and children), Julia Frost Davies (Jason and children), also Gina Tomlinson, Joel Frost (Samantha and children), Brianna Hooper (Greg and children), Michelle Frost DeGroote (Stan and children) and many loving and devoted special friends and extended family. A memorial service will be held at 2:00pm on Wednesday August 26th at St. Timothy's Episcopal Church. A burial service will follow at Forsyth Memorial Park inside the Mausoleum. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to St. Timothy's Episcopal Church, the American Lung Association or the charity of your choice.
