Rodney Moore, Sr.

Mr. Rodney Lynn Moore, Sr., 70, passed away January 30, 2022, at Kernersville Medical Center. He was born December 28,1951, in Forsyth County to the late Herman Talmage and Grace Perry Moore. Rodney was a loving husband, father, and grandfather. He retired from RJ Reynolds. Rodney enjoyed being out in nature. He was an avid hunter and he loved his farm. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his beloved Yorkie, Millie. He is survived by his loving wife of 50 years, Vertie “Bunny” Moore; two children, Christine Bright (Stephen) and Rodney Lynn Moore, Jr. (Sandy); and four grandchildren, Kayla Moore, Justin Moore, Wyatt Moore, and McKenna Bright. A graveside service will be conducted 11:00 AM Wednesday, February 2,2022 at Woodland Cemetery in Winston-Salem with Pastor Josh Boles officiating. The family will receive friends from 6:00PM until 8:00PM Tuesday February 1, 2022, at Hayworth-Miller Rural Hall Chapel.
