Rodney Clarence Hess

KING Rodney Clarence Hess, 37, passed unexpectedly away Sunday, August 8, 2010. He was born in Forsyth County the son of Roger David Hess and Linda Evans Morrison. Rodney had attended Christ Temple Apostolic Church and was a brickmason by trade. He was a loving father, son, brother and friend who will be missed by all who knew him. Rodney loved the outdoors, hunting and fishing with his sons. He is survived by the mother of his children, Holley Hess of Westfield, his two sons, Zachary Jordan Hess and Devin Tyler Hess, his mother, Linda Evans Morrison and husband Junior of King, his father, Roger David Hess and wife Sylvia Ann of Germanton, three brothers, Mark Anthony Evans of Germanton, Michael Lee Lehman of Winston-Salem and Roger Dwain Hess of Germanton and special friends, Tilda Vernon, Shannen Vernon and J.C. Vernon all of King. Funeral services for Rodney will be conducted 2:00 p.m. Friday, August 13, 2010 at Hayworth-Miller Chapel in Rural Hall with Bishop Bob Williams officiating. Burial will follow at The Old Home Place his family's cemetery in King. The family will receive friends from 12:30 - 1:30 prior to the service at Hayworth-Miller Funeral Home in Rural Hall. Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to his children through any family member.
