Rod Hubbard

Mr. Rodney ""Rod"" Eugene Hubbard, 70, of Winston-Salem passed away Wednesday, May 14, 2014 at Wake Forest Baptist Health surrounded by loved ones. He was born June 3, 1943 in Madison, Wisconsin, the son of the late Juel and Ruby Helleckson Hubbard. Mr. Hubbard was retired from Glidden, Inc. following 30 years of service. He was an avid Green Bay Packer, Milwaukee Brewers and Wisconsin Badger fan. Survivors include his wife of 50 years, Laurie Hubbard of Winston-Salem; four children, Deborah Bornac and husband, Gene of Winston-Salem, Kelly Hubbard and husband, Dean Voit of Winston-Salem, Dawn Nelson and husband, Dave of Minneapolis, Minnesota and Chad Hubbard and wife, Joleen of Minneapolis, Minnesota; six grandchildren, Sabrina and Tabatha Nelson, Isabel and Avery Bornac and Jacob and Lucas Voit; and one brother, Robert Hubbard and wife, Shirley of Milwaukee, Wisconsin. A Celebration of Rod's life for family and friends will be Monday from 4:00 until 6:00 PM at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel.
