Robin Spencer Tolbert

Mrs. Robin Spencer Tolbert, 44, of Winston-Salem went to be with the Lord on Friday, December 19, 2008 at the Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home after a brief illness with a brain tumor. She was born in Forsyth County to Ralph C. and Betty Brown Spencer on June 12, 1964. Mrs. Tolbert was a member of Woodland Baptist Church and a former member of Marshall Baptist Church. She graduated from East Forsyth High School in 1982 and attended Piedmont Baptist College. Mrs. Tolbert worked for the Industries for the Blind for 10 years. She is survived by her husband Jeffrey D. Tolbert of the home; her mother and father of Walkertown; two sisters Karen S. Rock and husband Philip of King and Patricia S. Dudley and husband Donald of Georgia; and a brother Robert C. Spencer and wife Trish of Kernersville; several nieces and nephews; and a special friend and caregiver Elsie Hines of Winston-Salem. A celebration of life will be conducted 4:00 pm Sunday at Marshall Baptist Church with the Rev. John Holmes and Rev. Tim Gammons officiating. The body will be placed in the church one hour prior to the service. The family will receive friends following the service. A committal service will be conducted 11:00 am Monday at Marshall Baptist Church Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home, 101 Hospice Lane, Winston-Salem, NC 27103.
