Robert Michael "Mike" Billings

Mr. Robert Michael “Mike” Billings, 69, of Winston-Salem, passed away on Thursday, May 13, 2021.  Mike was born in Forsyth County on July 14, 1951, to the late Robert Allen Billings and Betty Parks Billings.  Mike retired from Jones Bakery.  He loved watching birds and squirrels and had a true love for all animals.  Mike also had a passion for woodworking.  He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather.  He had a heart of gold and will be deeply missed.  In addition to his parents, Mike was preceded in death by his daughter, July Byerly and two brothers, Steve Billings and Allen Billings.  He is survived by his wife, Joyce Billings; children, Michael Billings (Susie), Michelle Billings, Julie Billings, Tammy Marion (Richie), and Wendy Levan (Rick); grandchildren, Drew (Sarah), Ashley (Matt), Nick (Sarah), Taylor (Devin), Dalton (Brianna), Andrew, Cameron, and Lauren; great-grandchildren, Wyatt, Wayne, and Violet; and the newest great-grandchild was to be Pawpaw’s little firecracker, Emersyn Rae, arriving in July.  The family held a service to celebrate Mike’s life at their home on Sunday, May 16.  In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made to ASPCA, P.O. Box 96929, Washington, DC 20090.  Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel is serving the family of Mr. Billings.
