Robert "Frank" Burchette

Robert “Frank” Burchette, 82, passed away peacefully on Monday February 20, 2023.

Frank was born on September 19, 1940 in Elkin, NC to the late Robert and Maureen Burchette. He graduated from East Wilkes High School and attended Guilford College. Frank was honorably discharged from the United States Army after two years of service. He was employed with Northwestern Bank and Nationwide Insurance Company prior to his retirement.

Frank was active at Clemmons First Baptist Church and the Cornerstone Sunday School Class. He and his wife Patsy enjoyed many years of golf and vacations including numerous trips to the beach and mountains.

In addition to his parents, Frank was preceded in death by his sister, Carol West and her husband, Lloyd West; and special sister-in-law, Julia Martin Phipps.

He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Patsy Burchette; brother-in-law, Bill Phipps; special niece, Christie Hunter and her husband Matt, and their daughters, Katelyn and Alexis; and other nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held at 2:00 PM on Sunday, February 26, 2023 at  Clemmons First Baptist Church, with Pastor David Pace officiating. Visitation will immediately follow the service at the church. A graveside service will be held at 3:00 PM on Monday, February 27, 2023 at Bridle Creek Cemetery in Independence, VA. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made to Bridle Creek Cemetery, ℅ Mary Young, 1624 Battlefield Dr Independence, VA 24348 or Clemmons First Baptist Church, 3530 Clemmons Rd. P.O. Box 279, Clemmons, NC 27012.
