Roberta Hoffmeister

Roberta Elizabeth Hoffmeister, a resident of Winston Salem, North Carolina, passed away on Sunday morning, June 6th,2021 at Brighton Gardens Reminiscence Care facility from complications caused by Alzheimer’s. Roberta was born in Darby, Pennsylvania to Harold Hoffmeister and Laura Hoffmeister on June 24th, 1942.  Roberta was proud to have gotten her degree in computer science and had a fulfilling career as an information technologist specializing in mainframe computers.  She received her degree from St. Joseph’s University in Philadelphia, PA. She was employed by Sara Lee Corporation for 15 years.  1990 – 1995 in Dover, Delaware as a Senior Programmer Analyst and 1995 – 2005 in Winston Salem, North Carolina as a HR System Analyst. Roberta was an avid gardener, baker, and pet owner.  She loved the beach, and she was always able to pick up any craft that interested her, including cross stitch and quilting. Roberta is survived by her daughter Joanna VonCulin and grandchildren Brendan VonCulin and Tegwen VonCulin, who reside in Vermont.  She also has extended family in Pennsylvania.  There will be no formal service or memorial per Roberta’s request.  In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Forsyth Humane Society of Winston Salem.  Her friends plan to gather later to honor her and spread her ashes.
