Robert Richard Wilson, Sr.

Mr. Robert Richard Wilson, Sr., 84, of Clemmons, passed away Friday, September 7, 2012 at his home. He was born May 4, 1928 in Indiana to Embree and Lulla France Wilson. Mr. Wilson was of the Quaker faith and a member of Winston-Salem Friends Meeting. He was retired from Ingersoll-Rand in Mocksville. His favorite hobby was collecting model railroad trains. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Robert Richard Wilson, Jr.; and two brothers, Leroy Wilson and Edgar Wilson. Surviving is his wife of 58 years, Sarah Pate Wilson; two daughters, Marie Wood (Steve) of Cary and Jane Bullin (Larry) of Winston-Salem; and five grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Monday, September 10, 2012 at Winston-Salem Friends Meeting with Judith Dancy and Philip Raines officiating. Burial will follow in Forsyth Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at the church from 1:00- 2:00 p.m. Monday prior to the service.
