Robert Emmett Walker

Mr. Robert Emmett Walker, age 90, faithful husband, loving father, grandfather, and great-grandfather passed away at his home on June 24, 2011. Emmett was born on April 12, 1921. He was preceded in dead by his loving wife Rozan Davis Walker (April 24, 2002). They were married for 57 years at the time of her death. Emmett is survived by his son Steven D Walker, daughters Carolyn Elizabeth Walker, bothers Gerald Westley Walker and Glen Melford Walker, sister Katherine Elizabeth Westmoreland, granddaughters Dena Stokes and Lisa Mabrey, grandsons-in-law Jeffrey Stokes and Michael Mabley, great-grandchildren Steven Mabrey and Katherine Mabrey and other family. He served his country during WWII in the Army Air Corps in the South Pacific from 1942 to 1945. The family will welcome visitors on Sunday, June 26, 2011, from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel, 3315 Silas Creek Parkway, Winston-Salem, NC 27103 Phone (336) 765-8181.
