Robert Stutts

Mr. Robert Alexander Stutts, 92, passed away on Sunday, April 7, 2019.  He was born in Iredell County on December 3, 1926 to the late Hugh Thomas and Margaret McNeeley Stutts.  Mr. Stutts was a veteran of the U.S. Army and served in Germany during WWII.  He retired from Wachovia Bank with 33 years of service and was a member of Center Grove Baptist Church.  Preceding him in death was a sister, Louise Cook and four brothers, Walt, Joe, Lewis, and Alvin Stutts.  Surviving is his wife of 70 years, Odessa Stutts; son, Bryan Stutts and wife, Tamara of Welcome; three daughters, Myra S. Jenkins and husband, Tom of N. Myrtle Beach, SC, Cynthia S. Baldwin and husband, Gary of Advance, and LeDhu S. Stockwell and husband, Mark of Salisbury; 9 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren, and 3 great-great grandchildren.  A funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM Wednesday, April 10, 2019 at Hayworth-Miller Kinderton Chapel with Pastor Ron Schuyler officiating.  Burial will follow at Westlawn Gardens of Memory.  The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.  In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Trellis Supportive Care, 101 Hospice Lane Winston-Salem, NC 27103.
