Robert "Bob" Stratton

WINSTON SALEM - Mr. Robert ""Bob"" William Stratton, 75, passed away peacefully on Thursday, March 31, 2016, surrounded by his family. Bob was born on April 2, 1940 in Stuben County, NY to the late Kenneth Floyd and Barbara Deneen Stratton. He was a proud Veteran of the US Navy and was a supervisor at AMP Inc. retiring after 30 years of service. Bob was a devoted member of Sedge Garden United Methodist Church, where he was involved in many ministries - the Manuel Sunday School Class, Bus Ministry, videographer for worship services - providing worship opportunities to our home-bound members, website administrator and much more. Bob also shared his servant's heart by volunteering at Meals on Wheels, Crisis Control and produced training videos for Beeson Crossroads Fire Dept. Bob exemplified a loving attitude and service to others that he extended to his family.

Surviving are his wife, Mary Redmon Stratton; his son, Michael Stratton (wife, Suzonne); his daughter, Teresa Wall; three grandchildren, Courtney, Evan and Daylon Wall; and one brother, Thomas Charles Stratton (wife, Marsha) of Raymond, MS.

A memorial service will be held at 2:30 p.m. Sunday, April 3, 2016 at Sedge Garden United Methodist Church. The family will receive friends following the service in the church Fellowship Hall. Hayworth-Miller Kernersville Chapel is assisting the family.
