Robert Oscar Russ

RUSS - King Mr. Robert Oscar Russ, 81, passed away Friday, March 27, 2009 at Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home. He was born September 27, 1927 in Forsyth County to the late Arthur Russ and Cora Norman Russ. Mr. Russ was a veteran of the United States Army and proudly served his country during World War. Mr. Russ was of the Baptist Faith. In addition to his parents, Mr. Russ was preceded in death by his wife, Ruby; five brothers; and five sisters. Surviving are his sister, Cora Bennett; several nieces and nephews; and a very special friend, Walter Johnson. A graveside service will be conducted 12 noon Monday, March 30 at King Memorial Park with Peter Cain, Minister officiating. Military rites will be provided by American Legion Post 290 of King. The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 P.M. this evening at Hayworth-Miller Funeral Home in Rural Hall.
