Robert Raymond Miller, 32, of Winston-Salem, passed away on Sunday, May 19, 2019. Robert was born on December 14, 1986 in Bellevue, Nebraska to Bruce and Kristi Miller. Robert was a “military brat” and lived in several places throughout his childhood such as Germany, Bowie, MD and Sumter, SC where he graduated from Sumter High School. Robert eventually moved to North Carolina where he attended NASCAR Technical Institute in Mooresville. After graduation, he started his career as a Ford diesel Master Tech in South Carolina, which allowed him to travel to Texas for ongoing training. He made his way back to North Carolina, where he discovered his passion after accepting a position at Carolina CAT in 2016. He loved music and was a talented drummer. He also enjoyed the outdoors, especially fishing. Most of all, he was an avid motorcycle racer and was recently classed up to an Advanced Rider through a PRE track event at NC BIKE. Robert was fun and always the life of the party but was also very comfortable in difficult situations and helped a lot of people through hard times throughout his life. He was greatly loved and will be deeply missed by all who knew him. He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Raymond Kindler; and grandmother, Rosemary Beck. Surviving family includes his mother, Kristi Kindler Miller; father, Bruce Miller; sister, Kathleen (Joshua) Atwood; nephew, Emerson Atwood; girlfriend, Heather Buck; and numerous extended family and friends.
