Robert Lindsay Bobby" Nelson III

Mr. Robert Lindsay ""Bobby"" Nelson III, 67, of Clemmons passed away Wednesday, May 26, 2010 at Forsyth Medical Center. He was born March 27, 1943 in New Hanover County to Robert L. Nelson, Jr. and Norma Nelson. Mr. Nelson attended Center Grove Baptist Church and was retired from R.J. Reynolds Tobacco Company with 20 years of service. He loved hunting, fishing, and was an avid NASCAR fan. He also loved nature and being outdoors. He was preceded in death by his parents. Surviving is his loving and devoted wife, Faye P. Nelson of the home; three sisters, Linda Craver and husband Robert of Lexington, Joyce Daniels and husband Alvin, Jeanie White and husband Greg, all of Clemmons; several nieces and nephews; two brothers-in-law, Roy Peddycord and wife Connie of Claremont, James Peddycord and wife Susan of Raleigh; his mother-in-law, Lois Gregory and husband Walt of Greensboro; and special friends, Paul and Sandy Hill of Clemmons. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, May 29 at Center Grove Baptist Church with Dr. Steve Corts officiating. Burial will follow in Westlawn Gardens of Memory in Clemmons. Mr. Nelson will be placed in the church one hour prior to the service. The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Friday, May 28 at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel.
