Robert Muggleston

Mr Robert Harold Muggleston, age 84, of Clemmons, NC and formerly of Fairlawn, NJ passed away Saturday, January 20, 2018 at Bermuda Village Rehabilitation Center. He was born December 13, 1933 in Bronx, NY to the late Harold and Nellie Jew Muggleston. He is preceded in death by his first wife, Alice, and his step-daughter Denise. He is survived by his wife, Rosemary Muggleston; three step-sons, Tom (Donna) Edwards, John (Martha) Edwards, and Mike (Elyse) Edwards; two nieces, Donna Rollins and Diane (Richard) Mikula. Mr Muggleston had a distinguished career at Hewlett-Packard in the Human Resources Department as Personnel Manager. He had a brilliant mind and was an accomplished writer. Bob, as he was known to all, was a gentle man who enriched his life and those around him by his kind words and deeds. He was an avid golfer and loved to travel. His travels would regularly take him to Reno, Nevada where he and his friends would take an annual trip to wager on the Super Bowl. He was a season ticket holder of the New York Giants football team and was a lifelong fan of the New York Yankees. Bob greeted life with enthusiasm and had many interests and hobbies. In his younger days he loved spending time skiing and playing tennis, and eventually found a love for golf. His passion however was music; Bob's performances regularly turned into impromptu sing-alongs. Bob loved all types of music and could often be heard singing old love songs. Even on his most difficult days, Bob would brighten the room and the spirits of all those around him by singing his classic love songs. He enjoyed going to Broadway plays and memorized the words to many of his favorite productions. A funeral service will be conducted at 4:00 PM Tuesday, January 23, 2018 at Hayworth-Miller Kinderton Chapel.
