Robert Moricle

Mr. Robert E. Moricle, 85, of Winston-Salem, NC, passed away on Monday, October 24, 2022, at Forsyth Medical Center. He was born on February 26, 1937, in Bluefeild, West Virginia, to the late Beauford Moricle and Eva Bailey Moricle.

Robert was a Winston-Salem Battalion Chief for 30 years. He was also very active in the Grey Hound Football Organization, an avid golfer, and loved taking trips to the beach.

Robert was preceded in death by his parents, Beauford and Eva Moricle; and his twin brother, Eddie. His surviving family members include his loving wife of 63 years, Myrtle H. Moricle; his two children, Michele M. Spaugh (Steve) and Robert E. Moricle, Jr. (Carrie); three grandchildren, Ashley, Austin, and Korey; five great-grandchildren; and one sister, Rosie.

A funeral service will be held for Robert on Friday, October 28, 2022, at 2:00 PM at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel with burial following at Parklawn Memorial Park. A visitation will be held Thursday, October 27, 2022, the night prior, from 6:00 PM – 8:00 PM at the funeral home.
