Robert Melvin McGee

KERNERSVILLE-Robert Melvin McGee, 72, passed away Tuesday, February 10, 2015. He was born March 9, 1942 in Forsyth Co. to the late Raymond Charlie and Ella Mae Eaton McGee.

Melvin was a graduate of Glenn High School. He retired from R.J. Reynolds Tobacco Company after many years of service; and enjoyed spending his time in the garden.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a brother, Charles Calvin McGee; and sister, Macey Gaynell.

Surviving are his wife, Carolyn ""Sue"" Crews McGee; son, Bradley Neil McGee; brother, Eugene McGee and wife, Betty; five nieces and nephews, Wendy, Krista, Amber, Scotty and Steven.

A Funeral Service will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Friday, February 13, 2015 at Hayworth Miller Kernersville Chapel with Rev. Daniel Hawtree officiating. Burial will follow in Eastlawn Gardens of Memory. The family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00 p.m. Thursday, February 12, 2015 at the funeral home.
