Robert Danny "DJ" Mason, Jr.

Mr. Robert Danny ""DJ"" Mason, Jr. 41 of Clemmons, passed away Monday, June 6, 2016 at his home. He was born in Durham, NC on October 18, 1974 to Robert Danny and Cathie Banks Mason, Sr. Mr. Mason graduated from Duke University in 1997 with a Bachelor's degree and then graduated from Washington and Lee University with a Juris doctorate. He then started with Womble, Carlyle, Sandridge and Rice where he was a partner. He loved playing with his boys, going to the mountains as well as the beach. He also enjoyed playing softball with the Womble softball team. He was a member of the NC Bar Association Bench/Bar Committee where he was very active. Most importantly, he was a loving husband, father, and son. Mr. Mason is survived by his wife, Lisa Mason and 2 sons, Phillip and Ryan Mason all of Clemmons, his parents, Danny and Cathie Mason of Durham, his mother and father-in-law Tommy and Shirley Beane of Asheboro, 2 special 4 legged companions, Gracie Lou and Sophie Belle. Funeral services will be held Thursday, June 9, 2016 at 11:00AM at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek chapel with Rev. John Hackworth officiating. The family will receive friend from 9:45 to 10:45 prior to the funeral service. Burial will follow at Forsyth Memorial Park Cemetery. Memorials may be made to Redeemer School in memory of DJ Mason, Jr, 1046 Miller Street, Winston-Salem, NC 27103.
