Robert Lee Jones

Mr. Robert Lee Jones, 91, of Winston-Salem passed away Monday, January 17, 2011 at Forsyth Medical Center. He was born September 29, 1919 in Forsyth County to Robert A. Williams and Esta Lee Jones. Mr. Jones was a member of Abbotts Creek Primitive Baptist Church. He was retired from IBM with 38 years of service. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army, serving during WWII and a member of the American Legion, AMVETS, and Moose Lodge. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Josephine Templeton Jones; and a daughter-in-law, Frances Jones. Surviving are one daughter, Brenda Jo Alley and husband David Clifton of Winston-Salem; and one son, James R. Jones of Winston-Salem. A graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, January 20 at Oaklawn Memorial Gardens with Elder Wayne Gibbons officiating.
