Robert Joseph Johnson, Jr.

Mr. Robert Joseph Johnson, Jr, 56, of Lexington, NC passed away at Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist Hospital on August 31, 2023, surrounded by his family. He was born August 7, 1967, to the late Robert “Bud” Johnson and Elizabeth Lorene Ingram Johnson. He graduated from North Forsyth High School in 1985. Robert loved the outdoors. In his spare time, he enjoyed hunting, fishing, and car racing. He recently bought his dream home near High Rock Lake. Robert was an honest and good-hearted man and would do anything to help people. He will be missed by all who knew and loved him. He was a salesman for Reece Builders before working at Lowe’s Food in King, NC. He is survived by his uncle Wayne Johnson (Patty); cousin, Dana Beckham (Matt); and his favorite bird, Jr. A graveside service will be conducted 3:00 PM Wednesday, September 6, 2023, at Rural Hall Memorial Park with Peter Cain, Minister officiating. The family will receive friends from 2:00 PM until 2:45 PM Wednesday, September 6, 2023, at Hayworth- Miller Rural Hall Chapel.
