HUTCHENS - RURAL HALL Mr. Robert Lee ""Bob"" Hutchens, 85, passed away Wednesday, May 1, 2013 at Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center. He was born on March 12, 1928 in Forsyth County to the late Elizabeth Luck Hutchens and Harrison Hutchens. Mr. Hutchens served in the United States Army during the Korean War. He retired from R. J. Reynolds Tobacco Company with 37 years of service. After his retirement, he worked nearly 30 years at G.L. Hutchens Sand & Stone with his son. In addition to his parents, Mr. Hutchens was preceded in death by two sisters and one brother. Surviving are his loving wife, Jane S. Hutchens; son, Gregory L. Hutchens; daughter, Mary Jane Pickard and husband, Keith; three grandchildren: Lyndci M. Acuña and husband Ruben, Austin Hutchens and Camryn Hutchens; and also, two brothers, Jim and Wayne Hutchens. A graveside service will be conducted 11:00 a.m. Saturday, May 4, 2013 at Mizpah Moravian Church Graveyard with the Rev. Dr. Tim Sapp officiating. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, May 3, 2013 at Hayworth-Miller Funeral Home in Rural Hall.
