Robert George Hughes

Mr. Robert George Hughes, 81, of Advance died Saturday, May 2, 2015 at Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home. He was born November 27, 1933 in St. Louis, MO the son of the late Robert and Alta Eggers Hughes. Mr. Hughes was a member of Harvest Temple in Largo, FL. He was a graduate of The University of South Florida with a Bachelor's Degree in Psychology. He was a veteran of the US Navy and retired from Honeywell following 32 years of service. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a daughter, Diana Hughes, a brother, David Hughes and a sister, Alice McSadden. Survivors include his wife, Mary Hughes; two sons, Cornell Hughes and wife, Kelli and Steven Hughes and wife, Kari; one daughter, Pamela Bennett and husband, Brian; and nine grandchildren. The funeral service will be conducted Tuesday at 7:00 PM at Hayworth-Miller Kinderton Chapel with Dr. Tom Bartlett officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
