Robert Walter Forcum

BELEWS CREEK - Robert Walter Forcum, 90, passed away, Saturday, February 20, 2016 at Walnut Ridge Assisted Living. He was born February 28, 1925 in Forsyth County to the late James B. Forcum and Lura Dowdy Forcum.
Mr. Forcum was a graduate of Hanes High School. He loved his dogs, Princess, Prince, Muffin, and Winston. Mr. Forcum was an avid sports fan, who loved the Wake Forest Deacons, and the Atlanta Braves. Robert owned his own Shell Station for many years and worked for Bob King Mazda until he retired at age 85
In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by his wife of 42 years Meredith Stone Forcum.
Surviving are his two daughters of Belews Creek, Barbara F. Reichert and husband Kent, and Kathy F. Messer and her husband Don; four grandchildren Candace Kaufman, Brandi Reagan and husband Pat, Chad Reichert and wife Dottie and Amanda Brown and husband Ben; and five great-grandchildren Meredith and Corey Harden, Jonathan and Sara Reagan and Eero Reichert.
A graveside service with be conducted at 2:00 PM Monday at Parklawn Memorial Gardens with Dr. Kent Reichert officiating. The family will visit with friends at the family's home after 5:00 PM Monday Evening.
