Robert (Bob), Fiori, 69, of Lewisville passed away suddenly at home on Saturday, October 22, 2011. He was born in Philadelphia, PA to Louis and Catherine (nee Patrizi) Fiori on September 24, 1942. Bob was a veteran of the US National Guard. He retired after 36 years from R.J. Reynolds, as Director of National Accounts. Bob graduated from Cardinal Dougherty High School having distinguished himself as a star baseball and football player. After attending West Chester University he was recruited by the LA Dodgers and played in their Minor League system. He continued as an avid sportsman throughout his life playing golf, watching sports with his children and heading softball at the Southwest Forsyth Little League. He was a great fan of his children in all of their endeavors. He was a devoted and loving father, husband, son, brother and friend to many. Bob is survived by his wife of 28 years, Donna Sharpe Fiori; his son David and his daughter, Danielle all of Lewisville; his mother Catherine McHugh of NJ; a sister, Deborah and her husband Kevin Hogan of New Jersey; mother-in-law, Alene Cook and husband Bill of Greensboro; father-in-law, Don Sharpe and wife Shirley of King; brother-in-law Jeff Sharpe of King; and a niece, Maria Sharpe of King. A funeral mass will be held at 1:00 p.m. Friday, October 28 at Holy Family Catholic Church. The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 pm Thursday, October 27 at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Fiori's favorite charity, The Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home, 101 Hospice Lane, Winston-Salem, NC 27103.
