Robert Reeves Ferris

Mr. Robert ""Bob"" Reeves Ferris 80, of Winston Salem passed away Saturday May 19, 2012 at Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home. He was born July 7, 1931 in Forsyth County, the son of the late Henry Clay and Avie Levena Enscore Ferris. Mr. Ferris was a charter member of Grace Baptist Temple and was a member of Bethel Baptist Church. He was retired from the city of Winston Salem with many years of service. He also was owner and operator of B&S Locksmith Company. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Sarah Ratledge Ferris. He is survived by his step daughter, Yvonne D. Richardson and husband Perry of Mocksville; his Aunt, Mary Elizabeth Floyd and husband, Albert of Winston Salem; his special sweetheart, Joyce Miller Norman of Arcadia; and a host of cousins and friends. A funeral service will be conducted Monday, May 21, 2012 at 2:00 pm at Hayworth - Miller Silas Creek Chapel. Burial will follow in Oaklawn Memorial Gardens.
