Robert 'Zippy' Wayne Cooper

Mr. Robert ""Zippy"" Wayne Cooper, 61, of Winston-Salem passed away Tuesday, January 8, 2013 at Forsyth Medical Center. Mr. Cooper was born in Mecklenburg County on January 1, 1952 to Waylon Horace and Marjorie Aldean Etheridge Cooper. He was an accomplished carpenter who worked for R.J. Reynolds Tobacco Company. Mr. Cooper was preceded in death by his parents and an infant sister, Cynthia Cooper. He is survived by two daughters, Amber and husband Chris of TN, and Jacinda and husband Scot; two granddaughters, Jaiden and Emily; two sisters, Cheryl and Rhoda; a special cousin, Charles Etheridge of Winston-Salem; a special friend, Gabbi Hayes of Winston-Salem; a special aunt, Mozelle Taylor of Wilson; and numerous cousins. The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 pm Wednesday evening at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel in Winston-Salem, NC. A graveside service will be held 2:00 pm Thursday, January 10, 2013 at Evergreen Memorial Park in Wilson, NC. The family will also receive friends one hour prior to the service on Thursday at Thomas Yelverton Funeral Home in Wilson, NC.
