It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Robert “Bob” Arnett, 82, on Thursday, April 3rd, 2025, at his home. Born on May 6th, 1942, in Adams Township, PA, Bob was the beloved son of Clarence Junior Arnett and Ethel Christina Parks Arnett, both of whom preceded him in death.
Bob leaves behind his devoted wife of 34 years, Judith (Judi) Ann James Arnett. He is also survived by his two daughters: stepdaughter Shea Tomlinson of Orange City, Florida, and Lisa Rollings (Brad) of Martinsville, Indiana, along with his cherished grandchildren, Lillianna and Parker Rollings. He is survived by two sisters, Patricia Moser (Jim) of Pinnacle, NC, and Karen Sue Raber (Craig) of Mannington, WV. He was close to his brother-in-law Bobby James and friend Vince Propst.
Bob retired in 2004 after a successful career as a machine operator at AMP/Tyco, following years of hard work at PPG and in the coal mines of West Virginia.
Known for his meticulous attention to detail, Bob’s passion for cars was well-known to all who knew him. His prized collection included a 1966 Marina Blue Chevelle, a 1957 blue Belair Chevrolet, and a 1954 yellow Chevy Truck, affectionately known as ‘Tweety.’ Bob earned the nickname “The Detail Man” for his extraordinary skill in restoring and polishing cars, often working on vehicles for others, returning them to a like-new shine. Over the years, he restored several cars and proudly won hundreds of trophies for his show cars. Many fond memories were made over the years as Bob and Judi traveled to car shows with their cherished "car friends."
Bob’s legacy lives on in the love and admiration of his family, friends, and all who were fortunate enough to witness his craftsmanship and passion for life.
