Robert Bob William Ayers, Jr.

Mr. Robert ""Bob"" Ayers, Jr., 77, of Lexington, passed away Monday, January 17, 2011 at his home. He was born April 14, 1933 in Asheville, NC to the late Nancy McCall Ayers and Robert William Ayers, Sr. He was a veteran serving in the United States Navy. Mr. Ayers attended Grace Baptist Church and retired after working many years at Parklawn Memorial Park. He was preceded in death by a grandson, Shaun Ayers in 1989. Surviving are his wife, Jenny Radford Ayers; one daughter, Susanne Phipps; three sons, Robert W. Ayers, III, Tim Ayers (Mary) and Jeff Ayers; five grandchildren, Denae Ayers, Crystal Crider, Joshua (Amber) Ayers; Ryan and Emily Ayers; great grandchildren, Victoria, Sarah, Brittany, Heather, Jade, Jacob, Jackson and MacKenzie.
