Mr. Robah ""Bob"" Stauber Moser, Jr. 90, of Winston-Salem, NC passed away on Wednesday, October 14, 2015 at Forsyth Medical Center. Bob was born on February 16, 1925 in Forsyth County to Robah Stauber Moser Sr. and Etta Spease Moser. He was a veteran of the United States Army serving during World War II in the European Theatre. He received the Purple Heart after being injured in combat in Italy. He retired from the Veteran's Administration in Winston-Salem. He was a member of the National Association of Retired Federal and Active Employees, Chapter 454. He was also a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars. He was a volunteer for Cancer Services helping to recruit donations for fundraising events. Bob also helped to reorganize the AARP Chapter in Forsyth County. Bob was a scout master for more than 20 years and also was a volunteer firefighter in Pfafftown. Bob loved helping others by volunteering at Creekside Terrace Retirement Community calling bingo for the residents. Bob was a train buff and enjoyed being a part of the Southbound Model Railroad Club from 1977 until 2003 where he met his very close friends, Joe Zimmerman and Jeff Miller that were with him during his illness. He also was an avid bowler and received many trophies and loved to give his expert advice to his grandchildren as they learned to bowl. Bob enjoyed watching his granddaughters, Millie and Morgan play volleyball and coming to horse shows to watch them ride. He loved going to the beach with his wife, and step family where he loved to go get ice cream and enjoyed watching them in the pool. In addition to his parents, Bob was proceeded in death by his two sons, Larry and Tim Moser by his former wife and his brother-in-law and very close friend, Fred Saunders. He is survived by his loving wife of 15 years, Shirley Saunders Moser, his daughter, Michelle Whitfield and nine grandchildren. His devoted and loving family are stepchildren, Lynn and husband Darrell Salmons of Yadkinville, NC and their two special daughters Morgan and Millie Salmons who were dedicated to their PawPaw Bob until the very end. A service for Bob will be held at 2 p.m. on Sunday, October 18, 2015 at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel with Rev. Bret Cogan officiating. Burial will follow at Forsyth Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 6 p.m. - 8 p.m. on Saturday at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to Boonville United Methodist Church building fund 116 N.
