Rita Weatherman Comer

Mrs. Rita Weatherman Comer, 60, passed away unexpectedly on April 9, 2009. She was born in Surry County to the late Nelson Weatherman and Lorene Sheppard. Rita was of the Baptist faith. She loved working in her indoor forest and spending time with her family and friends. She will always be remembered as a loving Wife, Mother, and Grandmother. Rita is survived by her loving husband of 13 years, Jerry R. Comer of the home; two daughters, Timmie Lowery and Tracie Lowery of Lexington; two sons, Michael Comer and Robert Comer of Winston-Salem; six grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; a sister, Marcella Myers and husband Dwight of Lexington; two brothers, Gilbert Sheppard II and wife Angie of Kernersville and Gayle Weatherman and wife Kara of Winston-Salem; an uncle, Ed Steele of Winston-Salem. The family will receive friends 6:00pm until 8:00pm on Monday, April 13, 2009 at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the family.
